Following his stellar performance in the recently concluded Vizag Test against England, Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has ascended to the top spot in the ICC Test bowler rankings. At 30 years old, Bumrah becomes the first Indian fast bowler to achieve this feat. Additionally, he joins the elite group of players who have held the top ranking in all three formats of the game. Bumrah's red-ball career has been impressive, with remarkable statistics over the last two years. Since the beginning of 2022, he has taken 56 wickets in nine Tests at an exceptional average of 13.60 and a strike-rate of 27.51, including four instances of claiming five-wicket hauls.
