La Liga is deploying a lip-reading expert to look into a remark made by Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham to Getafe's Mason Greenwood during Thursday's match | Reddy Anna

According to La Liga, Getafe "filed a formal complaint" and will "act based on hard evidence".

The incident occurred when England international Bellingham tackled Greenwood during Real's 2-0 victory.

A video of the incident soon went popular on social media.

It is unclear to whom Bellingham made the purported comment.

In a statement released on Friday, La Liga said: "Yesterday, Getafe filed a formal complaint with the La Liga match director who, as per standard procedure in such cases, has requested an expert lip-reading report to investigate the matter and act based on hard evidence."

Greenwood, 22, joined Getafe on a season-long loan from Manchester United on September 1.

In August, United announced that the one-cap England international would depart the club by mutual consent following a six-month internal inquiry into his conduct.
